The Kokopelli Trail, Southeast Utah to Western Colorado
This ride is a fully-supported event that covers the entire 140 mile length of Southeast Utah’s Kokopelli trail. Depending on fitness levels and group goals this ride can range from three to five days. The trip starts just outside of Moab, Utah at the Slick Rock parking lot, and ends in Loma, Colorado.
The spring or fall months offer the most ideal weather and trail conditions for this ride due to the potential for high temperatures and snow that can be encountered in the La Sal Mountains. Although you will start and end the ride at approximately 4,500 feet above sea level, the trail climbs and winds through various desert and high alpine environments, with a total of approximately 16,000 feet of total elevation gain.
