:: Kokopelli Mountain Bike Trip

If you are looking for a mountain biking adventure that will challenge your fitness but also pamper your body after a hard day of riding then this is the trip for you!  Showers & ice cream help your recovery; our seafood extravaganza dinner includes grilled Salmon, Maryland Crab Cakes and Alaskan King Crab. Enjoying the benefits of a sports massage will rejuvenate your body after working hard. If you want to get off the bike there are numerous hikes to explore Utah’s amazing canyon country. A yoga leader will greet and close each day with sun salutations. This is an all-inclusive fully supported trip!  South Park Adventure Guides continues to offer this amazing mountain biking experience on the Kokopelli Trail due to popular demand. Included with trip fee: Transportation back to Loma, all meals (daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks. Water for drinking and showers, transportation of your camping gear to each campsite, on-staff massage therapist and an experienced ride leader.


We begin the ride from Loma, CO and finish at the Moab, UT Visitors Center. We will ride about 40+ miles each day to a new camp each night. It will be each riders responsibility to arrange his/her transportation to our starting point in Loma/Kokopelli trail head.

A support vehicle will carry our gear the whole ride, we will be riding light. Only one duffel bag per person due to limited space. Please bring a tent, sleeping bag and pad. We will provide a suggested packing list. You will be expected to bring a tuned bike but tools and bike stand will be available.

:: Gannett Peak Trip

This is a six day mountaineering adventure design to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to safely travel in an alpine environment. The course will be taught in the majestic Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. Emphasis will be on skills to develop leadership and group safety when traveling in the mountains. Topics include roped glacier travel, ice axe self arrest, crampon use, ascending, descending steep snow slopes, equipment selection, camp location. This course will culminate with applying skills learned to summit on Gannett Peak, the highest peak in Wyoming and the Wind River Mountains.

Gannett Peak lies in the middle of the Wind River Mountain range just outside of Pinedale, Wyoming. This is one of the most scenic mountain ranges in the United States that truly will provide a wilderness experience. The trail is mostly flat as it meanders gradually upward, with scenery reminiscent of the Alps in Switzerland. The Wind River Range is also a major fishing destination with lakes averaging every three miles. You will marvel at the wildlife and wild flowers along the trail going into Gannett Peak. The trip will start at the Trail Lake Ranch Trailhead outside of Dubois, Wyoming and we will be traveling on trails, snow fields and glaciers to summit on Gannett Peak. This will be an experience you will never forget. The cost of this trip is $1,000 per person.

Trip Note: This is a fairly strenuous backpacking trip that will require you to carry all your personnel gear. Please see our Equipment List. Your backpack will be 50 to 60lbs so physical condition is required. You will also be required to arrange transportation to and from Wyoming.

:: Climb Mount Rainier

Join South Park Adventure Guides for a three – four day climb up Mount Rainier in Washington State. This is a guided climb that will attempt to summit of one of the most beautiful and challenging mountains in the continental United States. Mount Rainer is a challenging climb, with the trail head starting at 5,400 feet above sea level and peaking at 14,410 feet above sea level. We will be climbing the Ingraham Glacier route, with the first camp at Ingraham Flats at 11,200 ft.

Participants will be given a one-day orientation course on crevasse rescue, glacier travel and rope techniques that will enable you to successfully tackle this climb. No previous climbing experience is required, but is an advantage. Participants must demonstrate a high degree of aerobic fitness, endurance and strength during the orientation in order to proceed with the climb, and be able to carry a 30 pound pack under strenuous conditions.

South Park Adventure Guides will provide all tents, stoves and ropes for the climb. Participants are responsible for all personal gear, as well as transportation and lodging to and from Mount Rainier. A detailed equipment list will be provided upon registration. The cost of this trip is $1,100 per person.
